Hello, I'm Flora!
I'd like to share the highlights of my life story so that you can understand better what I might be able to offer you, dear visitor.I'm originally from Budapest, Hungary. After several episodes of living abroad temporarily (in the US, Austria, UK, and France), I eventually moved to London in 2012.I studied Computer Science and spent the early years of my adult life working hard in the fast-paced world of Big Tech and Investment Banking. Despite the seemingly successful career, behind the curtains, I've always been facing challenges such as imposter syndrome, burnout, and eventually, redundancy. Losing my job has finally pushed me to reflect deeply on my life, and it was during this period of self-discovery that I received a late diagnosis of ADHD—something I never suspected. However, as I learnt more and more about it, the more sense it made, explaining many of my struggles. This revelation has pushed me to explore my own identity, eventually leading me also to uncover repressed childhood memories of trauma. And if all this hadn't been stressful enough, my partner suddenly got seriously ill. While the past years have been difficult and often overwhelming, they ignited a deep passion in me for psychology and personal development. I became particularly drawn to the healing power of somatic practices like yoga and dance, which became a central part of my journey toward greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.Through these experiences, I discovered my true calling: to support others on their own healing paths. This led me to transition into a career as a multidisciplinary mental health practitioner, combining somatic practices such as yoga and dance with talk therapy and music. One of my biggest learnings is that any sort of healing is most effective when I’m experiencing moments of undisrupted concentration: a sort of flow state. When this happens, for example, I start understanding the reasons behind the actions of the people who have hurt me while also seeing clearly why something relatively small bothers me so much—what wound it has triggered. And suddenly I don’t feel so hurt any more! Thus, when working with others in any capacity, one of my goals is to try to help them enter a state of flow. I do this by holding a safe, nurturing space which encourages self-exploration and healing, where you can go inwards and connect with your subconscious.
